Dermoscopy

During the clinical examination your dermatologist first observes the different skin lesions with naked eye.

The use of special magnifying lenses with polarised and non polarised light is called Dermoscopy. With Dermoscopy your doctor can examine the different lesions in magnification up to 100x and evaluate the different microstructures like pigmentation and vessels. Therefore we can diagnose more accurately if a lesion is benign, suspicious or malignant.

With the use of digital dermoscope we can save the pictures in order to follow up the lesions in the future.
