Acne

Acne is one of the most common skin diseases. It appears mainly in teenagers but it can persist during adult life, especially in women.

It is an inflammatory disease of the sebaceous glands and it manifests in different severity grades, the comedogenic, the pustular and the nodulocystic acne. It manifests usually in the face, the neck, the upper back, the shoulders and the chest.

Except from the psychologic and social impact for the patient, if left untreated it can leave severe scarring on the affected areas.

The treatment is individualised according to the needs of the patient and the international treatment guidlines.
