Condylomata Accuminata

Condylomata accuminata is a very common sexually transmitted disease caused by different stems of the HPV Virus. Most common are the low risk stems like HPV 6 and 11 which are usually harmless and the high risk stems like HPV 16,18, 31,33,45 which can potentially cause cervix, vulvar,  anal and penile cancer.

The treatment is based in the destruction of the lesions with Laser or cryosurgery, consultation of the patient about the possible transmission modes and avoiding re-infections.

The vaccine against the HPV 16,18,31,33,45,52,58 stems can be discussed individually with the patient.
