Trichology

Our hair function as a physical barrier and protective coating from damaging sun rays. Hair is used for the differentiation of the individual and for beautification. Therefore, any pathological condition can seriously affect our perception of personal health as well as our self-esteem.

The different types of hairloss like androgenetic alopecia, telogen efluvium, alopecia areata, chemotherapy triggered alopecia but also alopecia as a symptom of autoimmune diseases can be diagnosed through the clinical examination and trichogram and treated respectively.

With the trichogram the root of the hair is evaluated in magnification in order to specify the cause of the hairlοss. In some cases a biopsy and/or a blood examination might be requested.

Depending on the condition local sprays, tablets or injectable treatments like platelet rich plasma (PRP) will be used for treatment
