Dermatology is the branch of medicine that deals with the skin and it῾s annexes (hair, nail) and the mucous membranes. Since the skin is the largest organ of our body, dermatology is the specialty of medicine with the most diseases. There are more than 1500 distinct skin diseases.

The most common skin diseases that concern the vast amount of patients are acne, atopic dermatitis and eczemas, psoriasis, skin infections (staphylococcal, molusca, fungi), skin cancer (melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, keratoacanthoma and actinic keratosis) and hairloss.
